The EP features “No Distractions” and “Veneno,” two original productions that reflect Kushy’s ongoing focus on club energy, melodic accessibility and audience connection. The release follows a Beatport-charting run and adds another entry to a catalog that has grown quickly since his original music campaign began in 2025.

Kushy’s previous Keep It Moving EP, released through Direct Action Records, peaked at No. 18 on Beatport’s Tech House Top 100 Releases chart. Since then, the artist has continued to expand his reach, surpassing one million Spotify streams, more than 120,000 monthly listeners and over 450,000 unique listeners during the past 12 months.

Now based in Monterey, California, Kushy was raised in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley. His relationship with DJing began at approximately 11 years old, when he started teaching himself to mix using an $80 mixer in his parents’ basement. By eighth grade, he had launched his own DJ business, going on to perform at weddings, proms and parties as a teenager.

Those early experiences gave Kushy a strong foundation in reading crowds and understanding the relationship between a DJ and the people in front of the booth. That perspective remains central to his work as both a performer and producer.

His music has received support from Louis The Child, SIDEPIECE, Jauz, Wolfgang Gartner, Bingo Players and San Holo, as well as repost support from Dim Mak, Insomniac Records, Barong Family and Space Yacht.

Kushy’s catalog also includes the original tracks “Gave It My All,” “I’m Okay” and “Close the Door,” alongside remixes of music by Fleetwood Mac, Pet Shop Boys, Hall & Oates, Natasha Bedingfield and Sean Paul.

Through Stay Kushy, the artist brings his music, minimalist artwork, live edits and custom visuals together into a wider creative project inspired by games, animation and pop culture. The platform reflects his commitment to authenticity, community and creating experiences that last beyond the dance floor.

With Side Effects, Jason Kushy continues to build momentum as an independent tech house artist while delivering a focused new release for clubs, festivals and electronic music listeners worldwide.
