In September 2020, Soundtrack by Twitch was introduced as a solution to the issues creators were facing with DMCA takedown notices on videos containing copyrighted music. The platform aimed to provide a safe haven for creators to find and utilize music without the fear of receiving strikes on their content. However, despite being available to the Twitch community for three years, the platform has seen limited use. With numerous alternative options now available, Twitch has made the decision to discontinue Soundtrack by Twitch on July 17th.
